Yakima River Float Trips
Be our guest for a day-long float trip down the beautiful Yakima River. The Yakima is Washington's sole Blue Ribbon Trout stream, and lives up to that title offering superb catch and release fishing from its headwaters down to Roza dam - about 80 river miles. Our guides run drift boats and rafts with room for two anglers. All of our guides are all accomplished instructors and are well versed in the hatches the Yakima serves up throughout the year.
Cost: Full Day (7-8+hours) : $450 for 2 people.Price includes lunch, gear (if needed), shuttle. Fishing license not included. Half Day: $375 (5 hours) lunch not included).
Walk & Wade Trips
If a full-day float trip is not in the cards for you, we also offer walk & wade options here locally on the Forks of the Snoqualmie, Cedar river, and a number of other fisheries within striking distance of Seattle. We've been offering these trips for over 20 years and our guides know these small streams better than anyone. Walk & Wade fishing is a little slower paced than out of a drift boat, but can be physically challenging and sometimes requires hiking. These trips are typically 5 hours, or a little longer for the streams over the mountains. There is little pressure on these streams so we usually don't see many other anglers.
Cost: $325 for a half day (5 hours, lunch not included). Gear available upon request.
The Pacific Northwest is renowned for its Steelhead. These giant sea run rainbows make their way up Washington streams each spring and fall. The 'winter run' hatchery fish peak is in December/January and the wild fish peak in March/April. 'Summer run' peak in September/October. Winter steelhead are typically bigger, and fishing them with flies generally requires fishing big flies deep. The rivers are colder and flowing higher in winter, as opposed to the summer steelhead fishery, which is more conducive to fishing floating lines, waking dry flies, and warmer, clearer waters in which the fish are more active and can see your flies well. Smaller patterns are the rule, so smaller rods may be used. While the winter steelhead will require an 8-weight rod and a fast sinking tip line, summer steelheading is more of a 6-7 weight rod game. Either way, the fish are big and fun to catch by any measure. Our guides are experts at putting you and your fly where the fish are... the rest is up to you!
Cost: $450 for 2 people. Price includes shuttles, lunch, and gear if needed.
Isaak's, located just north of Coulee City, offers some of the best fly fishing for trophy trout in the Western United States! The ranch consists of two lakes. The upper lake is about 50 acres, and the lower lake significantly larger. Each is packed with trout, and the rich environs of the Columbia River Basin are notorious for growing big fish fast. The upper lake is exclusively a rainbow fishery with fish averaging 18-20 inches, and some up to 26. Brown trout are in the lower lake to compliment the scads of giant rainbows averaging 23 inches, with some true pigs in the 26-30 inch range! We've been hosting trips at the ranch for the last 20 years in April and May, let us know if you'd like to come along!
